Yes lap it and void your warranty and the hope for a new CPU

Keep it like it is, and try to fix temp, and if all fails try to return it.

There is and there isn't. Right now I am just using Distelled water, even with out any additive, I should still be getting better temps.

no idea if this is even possible, never used or really looked into wc systems, but maybe try sticking the stock cpu fan/heatsink on there, and see what it sits at? leave teh water block sitting or something? dunno, just a thought

I have a triple radiator, with 3 fans pulling 70 CFM a piece through it. My water temps are only .5C above my rooms ambient temps, which are 27C right now.

Dont even bother with trying to hunt down a stock HSF. The ones intel is sending out are total crap.

When trying to figure out my temp issues, I took my Tuniq off and put on the stock HSF. I got 47C idles. I tried another HSF that I had waiting to go in my old computer (Silverstone Nitrogen v2 thing or something). Temps went down to around 37-39c idle and around 50C full load at stock settings. After that I put my Tuniq back on and got the same temps but the tuniq allowed a lot more overclockin than the Nitrogen.

So right now I live with mild overclocking (334 FSB) and have just accepted my chip sucks But I am going to try lapping the IHS this weekend
