Team C2D (No members needed) - Page 23

post #221 of 386
Folders for Team C2D please check in and post your active cores. TY

I'm down to 1; my signature rig. I'm selling off my 478 hardware locally to buy another dual core system. I have everything coming this week except for a CPU. Shopping for the right one for a P5B-D that will running safely at 3.5 or 3.6. (keep your eyes peeled for me)

now what..? how many 'cores' are you looking to add, of mine? All of em'? I have been folding for some time, but am noob at this 'team' stuff..lolz
post #226 of 386
The max cores per team member is limited to 3.

Right now it looks like we only have 3 total cores as a team, so you could fold with 3 if you would like.

From what I understand, way that goes is you would have to set up the cores for the team under one name, and then the rest of your cores under another name. Then we'd have to post whichever name you are using for the team competition. Many folders have folded under thier original folding acount, and then created one under "insert team here" or "folding name #2".

Edit: Found this in the competition rules/faqs:

Quote:
If you have too many CPUs active to fit within the no more than 3 CPU limitation, please do not reduce your folding power for the sake of this competition! While this competition will certainly be fun, contributing to the folding cause is the primary concern. If you need to reduce the number of CPUs on under your folding username, please change the folding username on the "additional" computers to your team's name, e.g. "Team_MHz_Masters". See the example at the end of this post for more information. Please be sure to use the exact name. This fictitious "user" will account for all of the "additional" folding power for each team.
So it looks like the extra rigs would be under the name "Team C2D".

I will put up my fastest 3 for 'CD2' ...e6700/both cores and 630j/main core
the 630j/HT'd core, P4 1.8 and Plll's will stay under 'clepto7'. I am currently around 10,300'ish on the Prime 'top producer' list, w/ and average of 1160 CPU hrs/day.

Some virual server issues and HDD swaps have kept my numbers down a little lately.

Welcome to Folding world~ Wow Team C2D has picked up a massive folder!

Be ready to take over the team Zang! then maybe you will be able to look after our #2 spot

http://folding.extremeoverclocking.c...php?s=&t=37726

This site shows who are the top folders.
If you look at the top 20:
1 taeric 4,872 549,874 <==== he is the forum director pumping out points. He used to be in MHZ masters but he is pursuing his personal goal. Good luck Taeric.
2 JeffMace 4,569 417,231 <== we do not know who he is. He is our biggest mystery. Look at "who is jeffmace" thread ahaha.
3 RoscoeMcGurk 3,873 301,538 <== Sorry i don't know you
4 455buick 3,366 276,832 <== he used to be a powerful folder but he is taking his time off to pursue his personal goal.

Now most of following are from a team.

5 Hiba 2,198 138,420 <== Folding Fury
6 FrankenPC 2,179 209,408 <== Owner
7 Chozart 2,102 170,154 <== Just because
8 MahtaReika 2,039 44,868 <== C2D (this team )
9 Spaceblue 1,844 49,772 <== Ascension
10 busa190 1,813 298,784 <== Sorry do not know
11 QMopar 1,776 1,430,716 <== Our folding leader!
12 Trippen 1,695 44,759 <== Folding Fury
13 cowboyzkickazz 1,676 171,605 <== Owners
14 speed_demon 1,592 18,412
15 pauldovi 1,509 94,354 <== Folding Fury
16 Jimmy2Shoe 1,257 159,351 <== Zang
17 BFRD 1,218 873,781
18 ArMaDa 1,074 17,600
19 996tt 1,035 158,224
20 Amped 1,006 126,459

As you can see, the limit of C2D is about 2200 ppd and many SMP folding can yield about 1700 ppd easy. If you are not familiar with SMP look at bddtillo's FAQ.

If you want up-to-date result, check in "Folding Fury" thread, Pauldovi updates result quite often. So far it looks like Folding Fury as the clear lead, then a big gap to the Owners, then Zang is following up as 3rd. I believe with 2 powerful folders you might be able to catch upto Zang for 3rd place. march is still early!

Hopefully this short analysis helped.
