Well, this sucks. I was folding WU 2652 (which is apparently a big problem causer in SMP) and at 99.97% it had the long 1-4 iteration error and failed. Every time I fold 2653 it's alright, but 2652 keeps messing up on me. I guess that's why it's still a beta

Swapped vid cards in a couple'a my rigs..now, GPU client is running happily with my e6700! Woot! I'm up to 7cores folding + the X1950pro..should give me good boost in WU's/day.
Definitely. Aren't you only supposed to have 3 cores though?

3 cores for the team.
hey guys. I'm planning on running SMP very soon. I'd like to put both cores towards the team. however, that would require either one of Force's cores(I believe he is running 2 serperate instances and not SMP) or CL3's extra core to be swapped out to comply with the rules of the game.

Let me know what you think would be easiest and best for production as i am not sure what the extra core is putting out.

Thanks,

Joe

PS: Grats on the team making a big jump in the month of Sept!

I think SMP runs a bit faster on Q4's ...as you still have some extra cpu power left over to do other things with... From what I have been told, running 2x instances is faster for completing WU's..but SMP gains larger points as WU's are larger...

Maybe we should all 'come together' on this one..and determine what the best course of action would be... I know your CPU will pump out more WU's than my P4 630 [running 2x instances 24/7]

* I have recently removed one of my e6700 cores from the team..in trade for my OC'd X1950pro

So which cores are running for the team?

And yes, we should all get together on this one.

Wow! You pump out crazy points for not running SMP. I keep getting 500-pointers that take over a day to finish right now using one core since I haven't oc'd yet. Still need to mod the mobo.

tnx..I dont even use my Q4 for F@H..because of the Tuniq/B3 combo..but points are still good. Typically, I finish around 3 WU's a day between all of my rigs. I would really like to pick up another X1950pro..512mb for another rig. Currently the 1950pro is folding 1.6sec/thread ...around 12hrs for a full WU, I am going to wait until the weather starts getting a little colder here..then see what the GPU can put out at >700mhz core [running 661mhz core currently]

*683points /day average so far! woot!!
