Look forward to hearing about the install and how it works!

FYI: I suggest doing a "practice" install with no TIM to become familiar with how it mounts up. I find it makes it much easier to get a good TIM seat. wink.gif

My Kingston ram is exactly 30mm high. Hope it will be able to dodge the massive cooler smile.gif

Back here to report..

OH..MY..GOD.

I did some cpu 100% load test on my e8400 @3.6ghz
the new Scythe Mine 2 cooler. Never got beyond 51C degrees, for a whole night!! Compared to the Intel Core 2 duo stock cooler giving me 81C
Ambient temprature about 18C. Simply amazing! and the fan is not even mounted correctly: Notice the getto fan.

I am really amazed!

As for the installation and measurements. The Mine2 is about 4.2cm above the motherboard, so i'd say any 40mm or lower Memory will fit!

Thanks a lot for all the help! i'm one happy camper!

Have you tried slipping the fan between towers?

I got the packet delivered home, opened it up and saw a cooler without a fan. I rechecked the advertisement, it said : "fan excluded". I missed that part.
Luckely for me i had a exact same size fan laying around. But the top tower was bent downwards, so i just Forced it a bit, now it is exactly in place. it's looking beautifull!
And the temps are even wilder. 4 hours of stress testing @3,6ghz. 43 Celsius. like what the heck. that's practically half of what the stock cooler did. incredible!

Exactly it's running really silent. I'm very satisfied with it.

Scythe products are great, their availability in the US is such a shame though.
