For me the more space I have the less I learn how to use it. I currently have about 500 gig of space. My stuff is everywhere. Back when I had 80 gig everything was well kept and organized. Transfered and backed up to dvd's often.

Back then when hard drives were <300MB (yes, megabytes) the programs weren't 6GB in size; websites weren't 3MB of code; video didn't exist; and it took 45 minutes to download a Penthouse pic in BMP format. File organization was a breeze (the programs was often larger than saved data!).

Because data sizes keep increasing -- and no one cares to find a better way to compress data (for the same reason we run cars on gas still...hint, hint) -- 1PB drives would be necessary in short order.

Now we need a better duplicate file finder, folder organizational software, and search engine to find that little 80MB avatar.
