I felt a bit bad for ordering lots of stuff two weeks ago (in separate orders) and having the postal guy carry them through that kind of weather to my building. But now I can get to my final order to start building my WC loop!

I'm considering painting the IO shield and the pci covers white for some contrast.

I'm also thinking about painting the rad white.

what do you guys think?

Ok, I think you guys helped me convince myself to do the white pci slots, io shield, and rad thumb.gif

Also, got some unboxings for ya. Sorry for the pics, I have like no light in my house and had to use flash

5.25" Slot w/ adapter and slim drive. I am going to replace the open slot with some dark acrylic, and that is where the IR receiver is going to live

Shiny Shiny

PSU - Plat, fanless, full modular!

Mobo w/ the wireless ac in there

CPU

RAM- Dem Plats 8GB @ 2133MHz w/ light bar mod

The little slots glow biggrin.gif

And the Prodigy Window panel

Looking forward to seeing what you do with this build cyphon

Challenge accepted

You got some work to catch up to Little Italy, but as you have most of your components ordered you will finish before me. That and my build is a full on mod, yours is just a build so far unless you have a lot planned I don't know about. Not that you don't do good work though. I loved Crowbar thumb.gif so I am sure I will like this one too. Don't know if you checked my log out yet or not but a link to the build log is in my sig.

This will have minimal mod work. Mainly because it is going to sit in my living room next to the TV so I want it to be subtle. The main focus on this one is to be real clean and real quiet. There will be some work that I am going to keep secret for now so I can make sure everything will work right wink.gif. I am a programmer as well so I have some nice software features planned for it too.

I haven't yet, but I will check out your build log
Took a look at the log, coming along nicely thumb.gif

Yes to white rads! I've had mine with just primer spray paint and it has lasted for the 1+ year inside my Prodigy. The greatest thing about having your radiator white is that if you encounter any scratches, they won't be seen and you could always sand it away if you redo your loop for maintenance.

As for the D5, you will probably have to use a gel/silicone pad below it since it gets very annoying if the vibrations resonate throughout your case. I've been combating this issue by having the pump/res combo suspended in midair by the tubing as the tubing itself will absorb most of the vibrations. However, I'm switching to an Apogee Drive II as I'd like to change up the aesthetics of my build since the D5+res just feels too chunky for me.

Subbed!
