ATI x800 xt power???

hi

i got a Ati x800xt 256mb dual dvi!

the reasons i making this post! it that i lost my PCI-E power connector cord!

but i got another PCI-E power connector but it for a x850xt and it had more wires than my old x800 xt pcie cord?

my old x800 xt pcie cord that somthink like 2 to 3 wires . (1 or 2 yellow and 1 back wire) but with the x850 pcie cord it got ( 2 yellow and 3 black wires)
but x800xt and x850 pcie cord had 6 pin!

with a x850 pcie cord work with my x800xt? or it will damage my card?

can anyone help?

All pci-e connectors are the same. It should not damage it as long as your card is PCI-E, and it's a PCI-E connector. I assume it converts molex to PCI-E? If so it should be fine.

Just make sure it has six prongs on one side, and probably dual molexes on the other.

it got fire prongs (2 yellow 3 red) and it goes to 1 molexes! the cable was made for a x850xt!

the cable has 2 more prongs than when i had my x800 cable (it had 2 yellow 1 black)

so the x850xt has more prongs!!
and the x800xt dosent use as much powers as the x850? am i right?

i am just worried about put too much power in the card?
