Any prices on that A8 APU? Seems like a fine cpu for my Waiting-For-Kaveri-CPU A4-4000-NAS/HTPC

There seems to be more like 20% cpu and up to 50% gpu gain I actually posted a excel file with calculations.

A A8-7600 should cost around 120 dollar and have 2 SR modules (4c/4t) and 384 GCN cores.

Sorry for the late reply. Yesterday on a 5 inch phone screen I was going through the slides posted by JSTe and I saw the +8% reference, but I couldn't make out the fine print. It's for PCMark 8 V2 work test, performance per watt.

PCmark doesn't justify anything. It just run some single or multithreaded or GPU/SSD/memory test and calculate a synthetical score. So a marketing crap used by amd.

Doesn't change the outcome. Besides comments like this show the short-sightedness and hypocrisy. Marketing is always gonna show the best case scenario with the greatest gain. It matters little even here your opinion of the test. I care little for Cinebench being used to orchestrate the ability of AMD against Intel, knowing the inherent bias in the test, But yet its use goes on. My opinion did little to nothing to curb its use.

So tell you what If you think its a lie, prove to us why you think so. Just spouting infantile rhetoric is not proof of anything other than your own defiance.

We know the gains are decent over Piledriver it is the OC potential that matter we know it has most likely gone down the question is how much.
I guess we'll get 0,3GHz less but it might be better than expected. (or less bad depending on how positive you are)
