Need Help Selecting Which Gaming Rig To Build

Thread Starter
hello i'm looking to start pc gaming, iv' had some time to built a build together and now i am stuck on what build i should go for.
what i look forward to pc gaming is no tearing, better resolutions etc. but i dont know what build to go for both are great for gaming and other pc related usage both great price so here my question micro atx build or atx build il exlain what i plain to do with my pc and i would like to honest opinions focused on an anweser but your opinion.

ok pc
i plain on using my pc for the overall better gaming experience (coming from console)
i want to listen to music, broswe the internet - watch youtube/ check email etc.
overall i want a pc...
gaming - i like the overclocking features but it just does not seem my thing so i won't be using such feature.
also i like the sli/ crossfire with gpu's pretty awesome getting more performance and all but i would have time to wait to do such.
so now i am listing bot micro atc build and atx build. note - wich ever buld i get i will upgrade gpu's. my opinion is that upgrading is awesome!!

atx build

cpu - i5 3570k
mobo - p8z77-v pro
mem - corsair vengeance lp 2x4 8gb 1600mhz 240pin
gpu - evga geforce gt 640 2gb ddr3
optical drive - asus 24x dvd-rw serial-ata internal oem optical drive
hdd - western digital black 500gb desktop 3.5 inch hard drive
psu - ccorsair builders series cx 600 watt atx/eps 80 plus
case - cooler master haf 912
os - windows 7 64 bit

now with the atx build i would get a better cpu cooler like the cooler master hyper 212 evo for overclocking.
and on either build a better gpu / if needed a 750w psu

micro atx build

cpu - i5 3570
mobo - p8z77-m
mem - corsair vengeance lp 2x4 8gb 1600mhz 240pin
gpu - evga geforce gt 640 2gb drr3
optical drive - asus 24x dvd- rw serial-ata internal oem optical drive
hdd - western digital black 500gb desktop 3.5 inch hard drive
psu - corsair cx series 600 watt atx /eps modular 80 plus bronze
case - fractal design core 1000 usb 3.0 computer case
os - windows 7 64 bit

with the micro atx build i feel better going with due to the fact its micro and i wouldnt feel tempted to go upgrade cpu coolers and overclock since overclocking is not my thing. also save an extra $100

atx build $830
micro atx build $750 ^_^
im positive im going to build a micro atx gaming pc,
though i want to know if i choose micro atx will i get the performance of a atx like normal pc computing and gaming wise?

The only reason you really need a full ATX board is if you plan on doing more than 1 GPU for the most part (or planning to expand more with PCI slots). mATX boards can overclock just as well as their bigger brothers if they're designed well enough, the only thing you'd need to worry about is slightly less clearance for extra large heatsinks.

Note that I'm not telling you which to get directly tongue.gif

Edit: There are some mATX boards that let you run 2 GPUs in SLI/Crossfire. And inb4 anyone says change the PSU.
