the only time the swiftech blocks do good is when it comes to flow rate/core temp, because they dont make a complicated water channel, its basically a " as little effort as possible" design on their block, and it shows. Their core cooling is nice, but that hardly matters when their vram and vrms are suffering for it.

http://www.xtremerigs.net/2013/10/03/nvidia-gtx780titan-water-block-roundup/

also not to mention, they cost like $70 more than the better performing EK blocks. This is for the 780/titan block, but its basically the same for the classified also.

it took me 2 minutes on google to debunk this....

I know this thread is old, but I just want to clarify for anyone looking at the Hydro Copper or swiftech blocks for the GTX780 Classified or GTX780ti Classified that this guy isn't entirely correct.

This is the review he is referring to: http://www.xtremerig...lock-roundup/4/

It is a roundup of several waterblocks for the GTX Titan and GTX 780. People are assuming that all Hydro Copper blocks are created the same, which they are not. The XtremeRigs reviewed a GTX Titan / GTX 780 block and folks are assuming it applies to all Hydro Copper blocks.

On the 780 Classified block, the VRM's are actively cooled and may cool just as well as other solutions. I have not seen tests to back this up, but a quick check on the VRMs on my Classified Hydro Copper show about 38-39C at load with stock clocks.

Here are some resources showing the difference between the standard 780 Hydro Copper and Classified Hydro Copper.
EVGA Thread: http://forums.evga.c....aspx?m=2039559
Photo Evidence: http://www.overclock...0#post_20878369

Compare the photo above to the photos of the block from the review, you can see they are clearly different and in the Classified Block the VRMs are actively cooled by water flowing over the heat plate. You can also observe through the images on the product pages for the blocks on EVGA's website that the designs are clearly different.

GTX 780 Hydro Copper Block: http://www.evga.com/...=400-CU-G780-B1
GTX 780 Classified Hydro Copper Block: http://www.evga.com/...=400-CU-G780-B2

So in order to be perfectly clear- there is absolutely nothing wrong with cooling performance on the GTX 780 Classified Hydro Copper block.

nothing wrong with the cooling performance from the hydro copper until you go past 1.212v, if you want to spend more money on a block that performs worse at basically stock voltages then go for it, dont make a post wondering why your temps suck though, youll already know the answer tongue.gif

yeah they are actively cooled, which is good,m but they arent actively cooled enough, which is bad.

I REALLY want to get a H320 for my secondary AMD system, but with seeing all of these pump failures I am not sure if I want to pull the trigger. Is there a new updated version of the H320 coming soon?

Pump failures? I have not heard about this. Maybe I need to check out the owners thread more.

I'm waiting on some Swiftech goodness from CES 2014... Still waiting on some coverage... Someone! Anyone!

On another note, Swiftech has some superb customer service so any issues that do come out they are pretty good at resolving in a timely urgent fashion. A lot of times the man Gabe (CEO) himself is troubleshooting it for you. thumb.gif

I hope the made the barbs on the pump in a different location or redesign the look of the pump so it doesn't have compatibility issues where the bars stick out too far and block one of the DIMM slots because the barbs are so wide out. NEW DESIGN PLS!
