I had hassle after hassle trying to get link to work with my h100i... I would get a BSOD about 3/4 of the way through the install process.. turned out to be the pump itself.. after I had tried everything else.. I returned the pump and got a different one.. works like a charm.. I'm not saying thats whats wrong with yours.. but if the problem persists after trying everything else..

first thing I would do.. is to try a reboot and make sure all connections are tight and connected.. 2nd make sure you close all other programs and try again.. if you uninstalled something recently and didnt complete the process... or have been installing other programs and one of them hasnt been finished out yet... the link (USB) cable on my h100i doesnt seat well into the pump and likes to pop out if I mess about too much in the area of it.. but give these things a try.. google your problem.. chances are someone else has had the same issue.. (usually at least)

and if all else fails.. call corsair and complain lol... their techs are very helpful and will stay on the phone with you until you get the issue resolved

While a good unit performance wise, I also had terrible luck with the software and getting the link to work properly.

Fortunately they now include 4 pin PWM fans and the pump is quiet at full speed, so you can opt (as I did), to toss the Link cable and manage your fan speeds via motherbaord control. Speedfan is an option if your MB doesn't have enough control.

I had two H100i units. One seemed to work with link for a while, the second sample never did, then the first quit working after some time.

They should have just provided a SATA/PWM splitter cable.

Actually if I remember right the default program will operate without link connected as well, so you could just accept the speed curves that come default and it does seem to be a pretty good balance.

yea the first h100i I had thats basically what I did.. was just let it run as is.. my mobo only has 2x 4-pin fan headers... and since I have a push/pull config set up on mine.. I really needed to figure something out.. but just left it alone for awhile.. and after I got a different unit.. I plugged the cable in... left it alone for a few days.. and decided I'd give it another try installing Link.. and lo and behold.. it worked!...

lol I have no idea what I will do to control fans once I build my custom loop in a few months

Hi Sergio,
Sorry to hear that. I wanted to ask if the version that you currently have is the latest one, it should be Link version 2.5.5145 that is found here. Also, like what OdinValk suggested, make sure the Link interface cable is seated properly in the pump and the USB header on your Mobo. If this doesn't make a difference, I would then try using a mini type B to type A USB cable, maybe the Link USB connector is at fault causing the error.
