Thinking about a new build and first custom loop. - Page 2

I have not bought anything yet I'm thinking of getting the koolance 380i and an ek gtx(dunno the diff with the reg and plus) WB that works with a zodiac 770 4gb because I run three monitors.

On the pump should I just get the reg one with the g1/4 ports or is a top a benefit.

Thanks,

A pump top is helpful with easier port placement, a bit better flow, and better aesthetics, but will obviously cost more. Personally I think they are manufactured better than a custom-tapped D5, but they should both work.

So it is really whether you want to spend the extra or not. Also, Swiftech pump warranties are voided (stupidly) when the top is replaced. Other brand D5 pumps are not.

I recommend the EK top, but there are also several other good ones (not all are though).
