I don't understand why this mouse is being slammed so hard, good on them for expanding their market, obviously wireless isn't the best choice but for some casual gamers this product might appeal to them.

first you have to consider it being posted here, in the elite of elite mouse forums. that's why its getting slammed.
if you posted this in a forum on IGN or some other gaming oriented website (besides ESR) its probably getting a great reception.

its the casual rich kid gaming option. i know plenty of them already throwing money at the screen.

In my opinion it's about as close to perfect as you can get, unless you want to stick a tried and true optical sensor in there instead. I think this rodent would still be awesome as long as it doesn't have the "9800 lag".

also, dont the sensei's come with 9500 sensor not the 9800, or is that just the RAWs?

I own a Sensei raw and like it, but don't love it (software locks my computer every time I want to adjust it), but if this wireless version weighed the same it would be on preorder. Frikken' hate cords!
160g is just too heavy.

My main mouse is a vanilla Sensei and yes both the vanilla and the RAW have 9500s. This and the MLG edition have 9800s. I tried the MLG edition and made a topic about it warning people not to get it because the current firmware lags like crazy. It's like the old early firmware for the Taipan and G500s I would imagine from my experience.

Metal571 - You are right. Reread Steelseries website and saw the specs this time. The Sensei raw weighs 90g, which is nice, not sure I want to go up in weight.
Will keep tabs on this product and see how the reviews go.

They can't exclusively make mice for niche gamers. They already have the kana v2 and rival. A xai with a better sensor would be great though, but who knows now that the 3310 is being deployed in many mice from other vendors.

Feels like way more than 1-5% accel on cloth. To bad I hate hard pads, Sensei RAW is great in terms of shape and weight.
