Which 290x?

Thread Starter
Looking a getting a 290x in the next month or so...so here are my questions:

- wasn't msrp $599? Will they ever come back down to that?
- any companies standing out as a faster one?
- do any company's warranty them still if you run a water cooler on it.

Thanks!

Powercolor will launch a model with a WCing block, maybe thats you are looking for

Yup, you can go for any water-cooled 290X, if I were you, I would go for the Sapphire Tri-X, better than its highly successful design Dual-X

MSI and club3d don't void the warranty if you slap a block on it.

Tri-X is awesome, comparatively cooler than other 290X's and clocke higher, core: 1070 MHz (I think), and memory: 1300 MHz (5.2 GHz effective, yielding peak memory BW of 332.8 GB/s) biggrin.gif.
The best part, Sappphire warranty also covers the damage that might be caused due to overclocking, provided that you oc using their trixx software only and thats a great thing for hardcore gamers & overclockers

That's true, but i'm already waiting like 1 month, no way i will be waiting like + 1 its to much, and anyway i don't think this cards (non reference) will be hold back much if you get decent bin, for me ~ 1200/1600 is more then enough for example, custom fan is all you need the Tri x is great card at least for air is unmatched for now, Lightning will be beast, but to late for me.
