For one, Digital Storm's engineers have compartmentalized the enclosure, eliminating the component accessibility issues common to small form factor machines. The video card, storage drives, optical drives and cooling systems are housed in removable compartments for ease of maintenance and upgrade.

The case has been engineered with optimal cooling in mind, with perforated air vents over the hottest bits. The system also comes fitted with Digital Storm's proprietary HydroLux control board, which monitors the unit's temperature in real time, balancing thermals and noise on the fly.

Yeah, you read that right.

IT'S 100% FREAKING HYDROLUX.

I'm sold already. drool.gif

We are the manufacturer! We designed this case from the ground up ourselves. Everything was designed in house to our specifications, we did not use any pre-existing chassis.

Umm... it just says "fitted with Hydrolux Control Board," not the full Hydrolux cooling system.

I think the best thing about Steam machines is the large variety of innovative ITX cases coming out. Hopefully we will see some available for DIY systems.

For those of you that aren't aware of what Hydrolux is -- It's a Digital Storm exclusive board that allows 100% software control of your cooling...Your temperature regulates the color of the LED's.

You can essentially customize the entire cooling system, yourself...Which, while they're not the first to do it, they are the first to throw it all into a single, nicely packaged setup.

If anyone knows who manufactured these cases -- Shoot me a PM...In looking at beta tester pics, these are actually REALLY nice.
