is it ok to have a case fan on the bottom and the side of you case blowing at your graphic cards

my current build is listed below . I have a cooler master 690 2 advance case with default fans which is a 140mm front intake fan a 140mm top exhaust fan and a rear 120mm exhaust fan . and I added a 120mm side intake fan to blow air directly on my graphic cards . and I also have a spot on the bottom of my case to put a 1400mm fan . if I put a 140mm intake fan on the bottom of my case to blow directly at my graphic cards should I remove the 120mm side fan that is blowing air on my graphic cards or should I switch the side fan to a exhaust fan or just leave all the case fans the same and install the 140mm bottom intake fan ?

GPUs should normally just exhaust their hot air out the back of the case, so don't turn the side fan to exhaust. I would just leave the bottom and side fans as intake, and the top and back fans as exhaust. That way you are getting adequate air to the card from the cool air intake on the bottom, then allowing the card to exhaust its hot air and allowing hot air to rise up and out of the exhaust fan on the top and back.

totally agree with willanhanyard.

Even if your card isn't a very effective rear exhaust cooler design the fresh air is a good idea.

My asus gtx780 comes to mind as it tends to recirculate a lot of air.

I also have a spot for a 80mm fan behind the motherboard . is it worth buying a 80mm fan for $5 and putting it as a intake fan behind my motherboard ? or a fan behind the motherboard don't really keep any thing cool ?

stick with pulling air IN at the front / sides / bottom and exhasting OUT through the back and top.

If anything i would add that 80mm fan as an exhaust. for 5$ why not.
