TV´s are more than specs Vizio...its about picture quality

My old 720P Sony TV from 2007 looks better than most of those cheapo 200$ 1080p TV´s

A MacBook playing Candy Crush is also good enough for most consumers. The entire first gen of 4K displays were ruined (for gamers at least) because HDMI couldn't keep up. The video cable is the silliest place to have a bottleneck.

My dad has a Mitsubishi rear projection TV. He hates it because he wants to get rid of it, but it's got excellent IQ and just won't die.

Can't get DirecTV? I swear I don't watch anything less than 720p on DirecTV. I've had DirecTV for almost 2 years now, and will probably never not have it again. I'm in love.

This TV has a ton of promise. I can see it not living up to most of it. With that said, I've seen quite a few Vizio TVs in peoples houses and just for Xmas bought my wife one for our bedroom. They are really nice TVs for the price.

Foxtel is all 720p or less (Unless you pay for the Full HD channels)

The News and random made Australian TV shows are all 576p. Occasionaly you come accross a show thats 720p and rarely 1080p.

The Ashes Cricket was 576p!!!! How many blokes would have watched that with a beer on a big FULL HD Flat screen?

4k adoption by the general public is probably still going to be a decade off.

I completely agree, 1080P adoption isn't even fully realized let alone this crazy need to push for 4K. There are still countless households that don't have access to HD content and don't own an HDTV.

All do respect, I believe this is aimed at consoles, most people do not attach a TV to the computer, due to the amount of space that is required between you and the screen.
