I see a lot of Displayport->HDMI adapters for sale, but these only go one way, not HDMI->Displayport. What little research I've done so far looks shady/grim. I see a lot of people who tried the display->HDMI adapters and got burned because it doesn't work in reverse.

Maybe something like this will work?

I wonder if the monitor can scale that though? I mean if you're coming from a PS4 or something, you're going to be outputting 1080p at best right? I think someone would need to test it to see what happens.

Additionally if the monitor is made specifically to take a g-sync input I wonder if it will fall over when it gets some other type of signal... hm...
