Market will have to drop their price to the normal suggested retail price to keep sales at a reasonable rate once the 8000 series drops, because at that rate primarily gamers are going to be the biggest buyers of R9s.

AMD Radeon™ HD

funny that it will come with 3GB GDDR5 Memory rolleyes.gif

food for thought: People pre-ordered BFL for years and still havent receive their ASIC.

So unless btc price fall back to $200 which drag ltc price along to $4-$5. There wont be any price drop.

Hopefully itll come back down soon - its pretty much in stock everywhere and non-reference cards are going to flood the market (i hope)

And the $3 per day in electricity costs unless you were mining for free. biggrin.gif

Even at $90 month I'm up $600 in a few weeks. Also I've not noticed a power bill increase so meh. Free cards in 2 months.

My GPU costs:
MSI tf3 x2 -$460 (300+160)
EBay tf3 x2 +$750
+290
Msi + sapphire 290 $399x2 -$798
-508
Xfx 290 -$450
-958
Sapphire flex 7950 $240x2 -$480
-$1438
+$700 ~ 3wks
-738

So less than 2 months 5 free cards and can easily sell the 7950 x2 for $350 each

So yeah mining is stupid but I got free gpus

Man with all the talk of bitcoin mining why don't you just buy an IBM Power8 server blade. 32 sockets that hold 12 core processors that can handle 8 threads per core at 4GHz. You could run 3072 threads at once. Then imagine how many bitcoins you'd be mining!
