Honestly, if you already have one you should be able to hold out until prices become normal, and then you can pick and choose which retailer you like the best. Newegg has a one-month return/replacement policy on top of the manufacturer's warranty, that site has nothing other than the manufacturer's warranty. I'm extremely tempted to buy a 280x on that site despite being willing to buy a 290 at MSRP or a little higher. My 750W PSU would likely be able to X-Fire two 280xs, but not 290s which is a shame, though I think I hypothetically can X-Fire 290s, just not with OCing.

It is price movement. That is exciting.

EDIT: Be cynical if you want but they aren't gonna drop $100-150 in a day. They will only trickle down from the prices they are now.

It went from absurd to slightly less absurd, what were you expecting tongue.gif. Though I'm not going to lie, seeing prices going down even if it means I would never buy it at the particular price is never a bad thing. Had it been a drop from 699$ to 679$ that would have been exciting. Had all non reference 290x's been 719$ and that one dropped to 699$ it would have been exciting. To them say "oops, we should price this one at the same as the other non reference cards" isn't a huge deal, but it went down nevertheless, so I can't really complain.

I doubt it It will slightly make a difference asic for litecoin is only 2 times efficient vs gpu's its not worth it for anyone to invest in a product you won't get for 3-4 months or even longer buterfly labs 2.0... If they make more efficent asic for litecoin then maybe price will drop anyways though anyone who wanted gpu's has them by now and the demand has dropped and price imo

CDW is legit, they are one of our vendors at work. Never had an issue getting parts from them.
