After playing on low end pc's for a long time finally ordering a nice one biggrin.gif, I'd just like some input on the parts I've chosen. Will be playing games like bf4, far cry 3 and so on.

Not sure about prices or what is available in AU, but I would go with Gskill ram. Better price/performance, in US at least.

seems pretty solid. my only suggestion would be maybe a cheap ssd. dont know if you have any wiggle room on your budget but from never having 1 to owning 1, i dont think people will ever go back after owning 1. regardless of the ssd, its a fine build. should be able to play bf4 and whatever games come out for a while.

Thanks everyone, just ordered the pc and also decided to go for a 128gb ssd (samsung 840pro) which i'll install my OS and put a few games on.

For the price you might be better off going with a nvidia card.

Not really in Aus, the 770 which is about the same as the r9 280x is like an extra 100$ :/, not really biased towards either company but for me at the time amd seemed to be better value. But it's all ordered now, should be getting it by the 20th biggrin.gif.
