Corsair Obsidian 250D revealed as mini-ITX case @Bit-Tech
Quote:
Built from the ground up for the mini-ITX form factor, the Corsair Obsidian 250D is Corsair's smallest case to date, measuring just 290mm x 277mm x 351.2mm. This actually makes it noticeably smaller than the ever popular BitFenix Prodigy which boasts dimensions of 250 x 359 x 404mm.

A 140mm and a 120mm fan are included while there is space for up to five fans in total. Watercooling is also catered for with space for a 120mm or 140mm radiator in the front and a 120mm or 240mm radiator on the side.

Like the design, a micro atx or full size atx cube case from corsair would be pretty cool.

I myself cant stand plastic and if they were to make a case entirely out of steel instead of aluminum I would buy if another case was needed . Steel is better for noise absorption then ali.

Yeah your case would be heavier and postage would go bonkers overnight biggrin.gif

Looks wise - its great thumb.gif

Yeah I'm waiting for an obsidian version of the air 540. I like cubes now.

Edit: In that sense it's a rather disappointing case for future/existing mini-ITX owners, but this case was built for "no compromise" - I guess as a transitional case for owners of ATX and larger looking to switch to mini ITX without dumping most of their hardware.

That's exactly the situation I'm in. I've been running everything in a Corsair 400R (mid-size, ATX tower) case since 2011 and wanted to go smaller and this case helps that transition. I'll only lose a soundcard and 2 3.5" HDDs, one which was empty and another which is also mostly empty.

PS: It's already "Out of Stock" on their site. sadsmiley.gif
