[TTS]Corsair announces its new Obsidian Series 250D - Page 11

TBH this case looks really nice considering all of the components it's compatible with while still remaining relatively small.

Which motherboard are you thinking of going with?

The same one in the pictures on Corsair's site: Asus P8Z77-I Deluxe

Although only just for the layout. I was originally eying the Gigabyte GA-B75N

Having the power connector next to the RAM slots and the SATA ports on the bottom seem to be the most convenient layout when coupled with the H100i installed as well

Oh, I'm sorry, am I bothering you? I don't see why I should care how you perceive this. What I want to see is Corsair do their case right. From the getgo I do think the format's wrong, but that's my preference. At the very least though they should be providing the minimal clearance in this day and age for a radiator. It's not as hard of a job as people make it sound like.

Looks like a pretty tight design as is....

Which isn't remotely my point. I have no interest in a third slot for graphics cards.

What was my point was that they didn't need to widen the case even more to be able to fit another 5mm of radiator-space on the far opposite side; the space is already right there between the graphics card and the sidepanel. That's a pretty damn minor adjustment to move the motherboard standoffs and PCI slots a tad closer to one sidepanel.

Can't wait for this to hit the UK.
As much as I love my node, it is awfully cramped.

I'll be picking this up asap, along with an H100i and a kraken g10 biggrin.gif

From the looks of it, the new H105 won't fit in this case with motherboards with an ASUS VRM daughter board on it?

EDIT: IGNORE THIS POST because I thought he was talking about the Prodigy but he's actually talking the Phenom. Still has the same internal sizes I believe but yeah, the exterior of the 250D IS smaller than the Phenom

Yup, and I actually think the interior of the 250D is indeed smaller and I did account for the Phenom have about .5" worth of feet on the height.

Yeah, I just snatched up the last MSI Z77I-E53 at the Egg. Looks like the ASUS P8Z77-I is your option, not a bad one. I'd do it, your 2500k wouldn't be greatly overshadowed any time soon. I'd rock that for a while longer still.

New Egg says availability is February 28th? Thought it would be sooner for sure.

I brought this up earlier. Someone already said it was most likely just a placeholder

That's a misprint im pretty sure, saw a corsair rep say early feb at the latest but most places will be end of jan. And i found a asrock z77itx for 135.00, just not sure if the asus is worth the extra 30 bucks.
