[TTS]Corsair announces its new Obsidian Series 250D - Page 9

Hmm interesting. Kinda wish they would have made it to support M-ATX also.

Corsair's saying there's 55mm of space on the left sidepanel, so 30mm + 25mm fans should fit by a hair.

30mm is too small. That limits watercooling. Only rad I can think off is the Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 (LxWxH): 278 x 125 x 30 mm
But will 278mm fit in there as for length?

There are a few others: Black Ice GTS and Pro, Magicool and Koolance have some. The Swiftech H220/CM Glacer 240L rad has an integrated res that sticks out, but not past the fans, and the body itself is 29mm thick.

The H100i rad is 275mm long, so I'm gonna go with 'yes.'

Of course it will limit it. The grass is also green. rolleyes.gif

There's a couple of 30mm thick rads. Alphacool's one is definitely the most obvious one though, yeah. I'm not stoked on this case anyway, but overall you should be able to have enough cooling capacity for stock CPU+GPU, though I would reckon low-RPM fans would be testing the limits.

They designed the case just so they can cram a H100i in there. Anything similar to the H100i should fit.

Which is saying nothing, since your average slim radiator is 30-38mm thick. tongue.gif
For the record, most AIO coolers come with 25mm thick radiators, including H100i.

Thing is guys, most people buying this case are not interested in full on water cooling. Much easier to install a H100i with a 5 year warranty and no maintenance, corsair realizes this.

Which doesn't matter in the slightest when we're talking about literally a few mm of additional space being the difference of "market A" versus "market A and market B".

They would have had to make the case wider tho, and considering the main criticism of this case ive seen from people pretty much unanimously (enthusiasts and casual gamers) is that the case is too big for ITX already.

ITX is all about sacrifices, corsair probably thought about this exact thing you guys are talking about and decided to just keep it H100i compatible and thats it.
