No wait it was US allies who said it was ok for all the US staff on the USS Ronald Reagan to help and it was safe. Anyway a bit off topic & I note your sarcasm. thumb.gif

OK, i have watched a lot of RT but i was put off by it, Made me feel il watching the insanely biased coverage. I may not be a died in the wool patron but I certainly can spot an agenda a mile off.

Sure There is information there that they come out with which western main stream media simply wont do as you are quite right it is controlled and largely owned by political interest and big business both in the US, Canada, UK, Australia etc..
watch RT fine, but never claim is isn’t a hugely biased arm of the government.. how many Russian stories are there on there about them being nasty and blowing people up ? google about the chechen's if you want..

a much better tv station is Al-Jazeera and also for youtube truth loader isn’t too bad

US media is no different. Watch both for a more complete picture.

I don't disagree they are biased, but no more than any other state run media, eg BBC and US various clowns.

The Syria circus was the perfect example. Anyway we are a tad off topic. thumb.gif

Reactors 5 and 6 were already off for maintenance. Because the earthquake exceeded the horizontal earthquake motion able to be resisted by the reactors, 1-4 were shut down immediately.

Also, Fukushima Daini (there is not only one Fukushima - "daiichi" means number one, "daini" means number two) was near the coast Edit: directly on the coast and in full operation before the earthquake. A similar mechanism of shutdown/diesel cooling procedures followed - reactors shut down after earthquake, diesel engines running to cool, tsunami comes in. However, one of the seawater pumps and all RCIC/RHR (reactore core isolation cooling system, residual heat removal system) were functional. Operators managed to shut down Fukushima Daini successfully.

My point is, they had the systems to stop nuclear meltdown. All of this could have been successfully diverted. Putting a nuclear reactor in Japan is no different than any other building in Japan, because strict building standards are used to ensure earthquake resistance. Daiichi was commissioned in 1971 and still held up to the earthquake.

If anything, we can still blame it on TEPCO because they did not raise the height of the tsunami walls even after papers suggesting 10m+ high tsunamis.

blogs with no credible sources ARE NOT RELIABLE SOURCES FOR NEWS

say what you will about the MSM, but at least they cite their sources and put their names on their work and dont just string together youtube clips and pure conjecture to "prove" a point

You left out lie and make up news for

I linked the BBC and RT but it's still not good enough? I will find some blogs and youtube clips for you to help prove your point for you, if you would like?

you also linked to a blog saying CNN reported fake stuff that literally used wikipedia as one of their sources. I don't trust your ability to discern reality from fabrication so I have decided to disregard the information you present.
