But most likely with a very small profit margin. My thoughts on this is that they sold them with only 10 or 20 cents of profit on each APU but are hoping that their market share increases, HSA will become more widely adopted and therefore AMD APUs in mobile devices and desktops will see a rise in sales (with a higher profit margin per chip sold).

His comment was deleted, shame...

On topic, I'd like to see figures detailing how many games were purchased with the console within that time period since that is where Sony will make most of their money from.

10 to 20 cents of profit? That's almost nothing. They are making around $15 per console. http://www.geek.com/games/each-ps4-sale-makes-more-profit-for-amd-than-sony-but-how-much-1577855/. That's also probably per console made, not sold.

I always like the playstation ever since I first played Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and Final Fantasy on my old playstation. Let's hope the PS4 exlusive title that are coming out are worth it to buy it. Deep Down and The Order 1866 look good so far.
I would instantly buy a PS4 if sony announces a Demon's Souls 2 for it tho.

Haven't really kept up with console news so I did pull numbers out of a certain place. Looks like AMD is getting a great deal with Sony and Microsoft.

Rumor has it there a millions of PS4's still preordered at gamestop too. Not to mention whatever Japan will get them. Seems like PS4 will sell like hot cakes. I check my Target every time I go and we always have XB1's and no PS4's.

While I like the PS4 better than XB1, it's hard to make an apples to apples comparison here. The PS4 is available in far more EU countries than the XB1. Almost double the countries in EU from what I understand. So, yeah. Of course it will have sold better.

Although I do suspect that PS4 would sell better regardless, yet with that stated - XB1 has still sold exceptionally well considering the higher price. Especially in the US. I have tons of friends that went with the XB1, just because they used the x360 last go around.

Well 20(With gains from die shrinks and such and the IP being ROI'd) bucks only accumulates to 4 Billion in gross profits over all those years.
Consoles are going like hot pockets biggrin.gif

Would be a lot more if you could actually buy one. It is close to impossible to get one in Sweden at least.
