Have dvi 1680x1050 monitor, was just given a ps3

I don't really care for consoles but hey, since the ps3 was free, I can mess around with it as I've never owned one before. I'm looking for a way to hook up this ps3 to my current main 22" monitor, but in a way that I dont have to unplug it everytime I want to use it. Kinda like, flick a switch and my able to use it type thing. So its like, I can have both my computer any this ps3 thing hooked up, but I flick a switch and change the source im using, or any ideas of the sort.

Whats the cheapest multi monitor thing out there that will do what I need?

Random HDMI switch like Donkey posted should be perfect. If your monitor doesn't have HDMI, add in a DVI to HDMI adapter (also under $5) , and plug that straight into the monitor's DVI port.

if your monitor has both hdmi and dvi i would just get a dvi to hdmi cable or adapter which would be cheaper then a switch but if your monitor only has one imput then the switcher would be best

I want it so both this ps3 and my PC outputs both go into the box and I flip a switch to determine the output, its a 1st gen ps3...the only input my monitor has is a dvi. So this thing listed for 10 bucks will do the trick?

The HDMI switch earlier should work for switching the inputs. Since your monitor doesn't have HDMI, you'll need an adapter, or a Cable. Anything like these two should work great (plug DVI end into monitor in both cases):

http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-PCM-2296-06-HDMI-Cable/dp/B0007MWE1E/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1389170689&sr=8-8&keywords=dvi+to+hdmi

http://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-P130-000-Female-Adapter/dp/B000BTGVUS/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1389170689&sr=8-10&keywords=dvi+to+hdmi

You will also need a total of 3 HDMI cables.

-PS3 to HDMI switch
-PC to HDMI switch (will need another DVI adapter, or adapter cable if only DVI out on video card)
-HDMI switch to monitor

If you need all the cables, then price check Amazon.com vs Monoprice.com
