6 v 6 seems kinda low. I was expecting at least 16 v 16.

Can't do 16v16 with the mechs running around -- Would be chaos.

When you set your mech on guard -- There's a perimeter based AI that takes effect and your mech assists you.

If you keep it on follow, the mech actually follows your line of fire to an enemy or defends you against an (often unseen) enemy.

There's really not room for more people.

I can see maybe a 10v10 but, that's pushing it heavily.

You have to remember that your mech does 3-4x your damage...and for every single player, there's a mech.

So, a 6v6 in reality is a 6+ x v 6 + x...

6 V 6

Is this 1995?

Yeah sure, every game dont need 64 v 64, but at the same time, dont even limit the thing and then there would be no debate

16 v 16 is a must in any FPS IMO

Lost hope in MP gaming i have, sigh.

LOOOVE the comments from people that don't bother reading the thread or the article...At all.

It's a 6v6 because your Titan/Mech counts as an AI. So it's basically a 12v12.

It's literally you VS an enemy VS his mech. PvPvE.

The article actually references this...The mech's AI is actually streamlined to protect you and support you...thumb.gif

Good, I personally can't stand these large multiplayer games where you constantly get killed the moment you kill someone. It is also harder to get everyone on your team to play strategically with so many players.

If a game works well with 6v6 then why shove 20 more players into the game? Or maybe you believe that you know better than the developers without a second of playing time? It is silly to have a predetermined rule that if a game (you've never played) doesn't meet your arbitrary player limit standards then said game is instantly outdated or crippled. Good grief the arrogance. I swear people are acting as if the only MP FPS they have ever played are CoD and BF and that every other FPS has to mimic that. Why not let Titanfall be it's own thing with it's own style and rules? From the beginning people complained that Titanfall is CoD with Mechs. Then the devs start to reveal gameplay information and now people are upset it isn't more like CoD (higher player count, quickscoping, etc). Make up your mind already.

I'm kinda surprised that this is such a big deal. There are so many games that cater (poorly) to large scale combat I can understand why the developers would go for a niche. If the AI and gameplay functionality of the mechs are spot on, I can see it opening up a skill gap that is not just twitch-skill based.

Ahwell.

all while being played on a non color tuned monitor and crappy PC speakers, for the majority of players.

Still trying to change the minds of all the ADD BF4CODBLOPS players?

Good on ya!

At least the older gamers in here understand that 6v6 is perfectly fine, and if the mechanics are solid, will be a complete riot. I look forward to the return of small squad based gameplay, instead of the chaos you see with these 64 v 64 battles.

Just the fact that being in a small game like that allows you to develop a friendly grudge against a particular person is so much easier. I spent a lot of my time back in the day "hunting" a particular person I knew was on the map with me!
