AI chief, AI.

Watch the gameplay.

Notice how much FASTER it is than BF4. Notice how much FASTER it is than COD. Notice it's a bit faster than Crysis? That's why you don't have 12v12 or 24v24 - It would be I N S A N E.

Just the original videos showed a handful of guys with their Titans on each team, that is what excited me about. The early videos clearly showed small squads on "small" maps just blowing the living snot out of each other!

It's always been a 6 v 6 because the AI plays a HUGE role in the game.

There's talk of a 12v12 big team battle but, I can't see it...The game is too fast already, way too fast for more people.

Though this is true, the Angel City footage did start with what's perceivable to be over 6 characters on one a single team, which I presume half of those are A.I since the
current player count is 6 per team, so people were really shocked to hear about 6 vs 6, A.I isn't taken into account but alot of people would of been expecting more, or that all of those characters are real players but they're not, perhaps simply erasing the A.I from the equation which completely goes against their concept of the game's design and replacing them with real players would resolve the backlash, and possibly also balancing issues you are replacing the A.I which replaced the human players.

From this gameplay it looks like 12 V 12

You do realize that the entire purpose of the AI is to create balance within the game?

Take for example REAL Battlefield 4 or COD matches right now. Say your team is pro and you DESTROY the other team.

Is it challenging for you to get a shutout? How's the other team feel at being slaughtered?

Do you support the merciless beatdown of another team?

Now picture Titanfall.

We have a 6 v 6...My team starts to destroy you.

Oh wait, the AI is sporadically improving...Hold on, I just took one in the back from the AI and now the game is actually balanced.

Holy crap, they're making a comeback and now the game is even FASTER because the AI's level artificially increased mid-game.

AI is capable of doing what a human is not. Period.

That's what this game was designed for and one of the features it's pushing so hard...Innovative AI that scales in difficulty based on the opposition.

It's never been done before and if they back down, cater to the public, I'm withdrawing my support 100% because it's simply such a step backwards, it's incredible...In both technology and within the gaming world, itself.

I didn't exactly know they help balance the game but I did say that it would go completely against the game's design to erase the A.I.
I wonder how good the A.I is and if they truly advance, I think Dark Souls incorporated advancing A.I, they'd take extra precautions so you cant kick them off a cliff again lachen.gif

Most people enjoy large player counts because the vast majority of people suck at FPS's so the only chance they're going to get a kill, or even chainkills, is if there's a huge clusterfook of action going on and they're standing safely to the side lobbing grenades or bullets into the mess*. Plain and simple. These are the same people who refuse to play 1v1, 2v2, or 5v5 because their lack of skill will stand out and they wont have the coat-tails of their teammates to ride on. Playing team sports or videogames in small groups is a very humbling experience most people ultimately avoid. Teammates are going to notice every single mistake that is made and if someone is too proud to admit they messed up, the team suffers, and that player is never going to improve.

*Note the popularity of MMORPG's and large-scale PvP battles. Sooner or later, everyone wins.

This is about the biggest over simplification of why people like large scale battles I've ever seen.

AI Balancing sounds like a load of crap. If I wanted to fight AI I would play single player.

The maps look awful.

6 vs 6 is lame.

I want big battles because those are epic and involved. Makes you feel like a part of something and increases the immersion a lot. You really feel like a clutch player when make a good move that 20 people were depending on.
