How did u burst my bubble? U confirmed some of what i said and the rest we are still waiting for,this will be another downfall for AMD as far as i'm concerned until they prove otherwise. And another thing how smart is it to put your latest greatst tech into the hands of a company like EA LOL Brilliant

I burst your bubble by showing that most of your statements weren't based on reality/truth.
What exactly did I confirm?

The reason most people here want to believe in Mantle is because cpu bottleneck is a huge problem even for those with super high end systems because some games are so poorly threaded.
As for how smart it was to give it to AMD for BF4 well it actually is quite clever since BF4 is one of the biggest releases 2013 brought and EA is the biggest game developing company on the planet.

To be honest if they pull this of and they get Ubisoft on their side Mantle will be a massive success and will benefit everyone

The Mantle is designed to make the AMD APU's more competitive in the gamer market. For a normal gamer with a decent rig YMMV.

Just because you're seeing your GPU usage at 100% under BF4 doesn't mean it's being used at its full potential.

Mantle is supposed to expose the entire GCN architecture, and take advantage of all of its functionality.

And make no mistake about it, Yes Mantle will make APUs faster as well, but it's not like Mantle is being developed with APUs in mind, I would say it's quite the contrary actually, it's being developed to take advantage of today's high end PC hardware and tomorrow's as well (explicit mGPU usage [repi mentioned using 8 GPUs], perfect linear CPU scaling/ parallel rendering, etc).

"up to" but it isn't unrealistic if you were to take a Athlon X2 or a Pentium 4 HT with a recent graphics card you would gain well over 45%.
that up to 45% goes for recent combo's I guess 15/20% is the best we will be getting on average since this is a early after production execution of Mantle.

I'm curious as to whether or not the Xbone will support DX12 whenever it does get released. If not, will game developers still be inclined to utilize it for the PC versions of cross platform titles?

If this is true it's good for gamers at least.

Mantle is an attempt to get out of the Windows ecosystem and not be tied to Windows because of DirectX.

If this rumor is true, it means that Mantle is gaining enough support to actually scare Microsoft into doing something with API.

It might actually make Microsoft stop ignoring desktop consumers.

But I would expect DirectX 12 to be Windows 8 exclusive, so it'd be dead in the water to a lot of users, unless MS was so scared of SteamOS and Linux gaming with Mantle that they made it available to other OSes like Windows 7.

People are really under-estimating the amount of people who would buy a GCN card just so they could game well in Linux or SteamOS.
