Hey guys. I have upgraded my rig with 2 GTX 780s and the temps are going too high. I am thinking about using my watercooling loop, which is currently used only for my CPU as I have removed 2 watercooled GTX 470s for this replacement.

Together with them, I have removed one radiator so now I am using only 2 radiators (120X240x30 - push only and 120x240x50 push and pull fans) and laing DDC pump.

I got some experience already, but it never hurts to ask for your suggestions:

1) I am a bit worried about my CPU temps, the radiators are quite cold, I have cleaned them but still my idle temps on i7 930 @ 3,8 Vcore 1,235 are 40-44 C and under load with prime95 they are going up to 78 (during gameplay they usually reach 70 max). One core is allways 3-4 degrees above the others, which is strange. Also the CPU block and radiators are pretty cold when I touch them even after some time of using. What do you think, should I try to reapply the paste or do you think those temps are OK for watercooled loop with 2 radiators and CPU only ? What do you think is causing one core to be few degrees above the others ?

2) I have used some no-name thermal paste, do you think I should try some of those premium ones ? Is there really a huge difference ? I heard the difference can be 1-5 degrees, is it more for watercooling loop ?

3) I have ordered and expecting EKWB for 780 which comes with thermal pads, do you recommend using those pads or do you think you can improve again with applying some premium thermal paste ? (talking about GPU, not the other chips)

Also, will the two radiators be all right for GTX 780 and i7 930 ( I am planning to watercool only the top GPU as the temps on the bottom one are OK and its quite silent.

In fact I am not planning to go for biggest OC or something, the reason for watercooling for me is silence and also that I am sitting in a very small room, so I drilled the wall and got the radiators in the room nextdoor, so I do not boil in here.
