Good idea. The small intake of the FT03 was a turn off for me.

Yeah, the FT03 is nice looking but I need more cooling and it's a bit too small to effectively manage cables. I basically want a rotated TJ08-E with FT02 styling.

Not to mention the horrible side panel clips that couldn't even effectively hold the side panel... :|

A hypothetical FT02, slightly smaller with quality third party140mm fans, externally accessable (and less restrictive) filters, better HDD mounts (although I don't mich care about that these days) and from a factory with better quality control. My point is that there probably isn't any case I'd rather have. The FT02 is a great case, the best I've used. But that doesn't mean I'm going to get emotionally invested in it and become a fanboy, completely ignoring it's shortcomings. There is definitely room for improvement.

See right through to what exactly? Some grand conspiracy against SS? And did I ever say I had spilt anything in the case? No, I was simply identifying a valid potential issue. Accidents can happen to anyone, even the "I don't need an antivirus because I browse carefully" or "I don't need a seatbelt because I'm a perfect driver" smart-arse types.

$180? That's pretty expensive for what you get. I was expecting the RV05 to be $100, and the FT05 to be $150. Compared to their other cases, these are much smaller and simpler to manufacture, so they should be priced them accordingly, especially with the extra features that were cut off to preserve the small size. I was really thinking about getting this case along with a 4-bay external enclosure with the hopes of spending around $250. At that price point, the FT02 or FT04 would be the better buy. Time to research some more...Maybe if there's a deal on the FT05 for around $150 in the future, I'll bite.

Rebates up to $20, but SS always sells at MSRP.

The FT01 released at $220. FT02 at $240, FT04 at $230 and FT05 at $180. The FT05 is the cheapest of the series.
The FT03 still sells for $160-190 depending upon color.

For me, the case will cost over $280 because I need an external enclosure (not enough internal 3.5" bays), and at that price, I know there are better alternatives.

Oh I see. Yes, the FT02 is a better case for you.
