Title: FT05
Thread: RV05

Me: Confused as to why I came here now...

This is why using the articles title is encouraged;

SilverStone Announces Compact Raven RV05 Case at CES

Nice case though, would have definitely considered it before I went primarily SFF. Though I still have my beloved FT02 in my closet for when I get a larger place.

This is very clearly not a Raven design though. Doesn't take a massive Silverstone enthusiast to notice that. biggrin.gif

It's still a raven case though ( according to the article ). And after last years FT04 and RV04 then being a Silverstone enthusiast you'd be able to tell they don't much care what you think is a raven or fortress design tongue.gif

And yes I very much love my Silverstone cases ( GD08, GD05, ML04, ML05, SG05 * 2, FT02, PS07, TJ08, TJ07 ).

Citation needed. Especially with conflicting information like this. Which clearly looks a lot more like it is from the Raven lineup and uses the same name.

Err, what? They're still consistent with their Raven and Fortress differences.

Uhm, this threads source? Unless you can find another article saying this case is indeed a fortress case.

*prototype* Means subject to change.

Then we can agree to disagree. Because I ( and many others ) feel like both 04's were flops in their respective designs for the rv and ft series.

You mean Tom's hardware, which is who we're saying probably messed up? Or Silverstone's facebook page which clearly shows a very different exterior? I can't say you seem much like a Silverstone enthusiast if you can't even tell the brand's product lines apart at a glance, they're not exactly subtle.

Like I said, I'm going by this article. I don't use facebook nor visit the site.

Then go and do that, have your opinion all you please, but OP's post clearly does not picture a Raven series case is my opinion, and imo it's very evident that Tom's Hardware weren't paying attention in class. rolleyes.gif

Whoah, those are AP182 fans. Those are the most monstrous fans ever made. I remember reading a FT04 review that said with the fans full blast, the wind generated rattled the reviewer's blinds which were 5 feet away, and that was with the air going through the case first. This little case might take off lol.

I like the case, but it needs more 3.5" drives in it for my usage. Maybe I'll get this and a NAS if I don't get the FT04. I like the fact that you can put in a 180.2 rad on the bottom (a 180.2 45mm thick rad can dissipate more heat than a monsta 360, especially with the AP182s), and if you have clearance issues with the rad, you can put the fans outside the case. If this sells in the low to mid $100s, maybe.

Edit: This case is slightly smaller than the FT04.
