Help me find a monitor at around 600$

Been lurking around these forums for a while and I think it's the best place to look for help, so here goes smile.gif

I'm looking for a new monitor that is at least 120Hz, flicker-free and 27". I got dry eyes and get eye strains easier than the most, so it needs to be gentle on the eyes, which I've read that 120hz and the new flicker-free technology will be, mostly used by BenQ and Eizo by my knowledge.
Only found one that really match those criteria's so far and it haven't been released yet and the price is unknown.
It's the Benq XL2720Z - http://gaming.benq.com/gaming-monitor/xl2720z - I have talked with the support and they expect it in Europe at the end of the month. The price in USA will be around 600$, no mentions for EU, so if it's to expensive or even more delayed I wanna find some alternatives, maybe I've missed some gems out there.

Also with the CES going atm, maybe something new will be released and/or the prices will drop on current versions, so I can wait a few weeks to see what happens unless someone got a suggestion that fits perfectly.

Budget is around 600$, not much higher though, but can break it a little.

Hope anyone can help, cheers smile.gif

Also been looking at the Dell U2713HM - looks great and at a fine price, but sounds like a lot have issues with it in this thread (http://www.overclock.net/t/1380527/official-dell-u2713hm-2560x1440-semi-glossy-ips-club)

I am pretty sure the Dell U2713HM has a 60hz refresh rate rather than 120hz!

If you want 120hz @ 1440P and do not want to get a Korean Qnix, Catleap, Crossover etc. and overclock it, this is probably the answer http://www.anandtech.com/show/7627/asus-at-ces-2014 unfortunately at USD800 it is a little over budget! Alternatively I believe the G-synch upgraded Asus 120hz VG248H are now available and within budget but are 1980 X 1080P rather than 2560 X 1440P.

Whoops well spotted, the 27"Asus VG278HE (Q) would probably meet the OP's requirements better (that said 1980 X 1080P on a 27" looks worse than on a 24" IMHO though due to the lack of pixel density).

If I had USD800 burning in my pocket I would still be looking at the ROG SWIFT PG278Q! (I wonder if I can fool the missus into thinking a new PG278Q is really my old PB278Q). thumb.gif

Thanks for the suggestions and replies so far, but yea, didn't see that Asus on this list either -http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/flicker_free_database.htm
It's to bad, looked pretty good though. Maybe I have to wait for that Benq XL2720Z if I want a 27" flicker free 120hz montior.
