New Motherboard.....

Need some recommendations please people. I've currently got an Asus Crosshair IV Formula which is being RMA'd. Bonus as I'll get a refund of about £170 to spend on a new board. I'm thinking the Crosshair V Formula-z but I'm not sure if I'll get something better for the same price or even a wee bit more cash.

Main concern is getting something as future proof as possible. I've got an FX-8350 and 16 GB Ram to stick in it. I'll be looking to overclock and it will be used for gaming and music production. Also got X2 5770 in CrossFire. No need to upgrade that yet as runs BF4 at ultra with X2AA, which I'm happy with. I should said the music production puts the CPU under full load for long lengths of time. So something solid that isn't going to overheat which nice features.... not fussed about how it looks TBH.....

What do you say;

I say save some money and get something like an Asus Sabertooth or a Gigabyte UD5H. Use the saved money and buy yourself an aftermarket cooler. thumb.gif

*EDIT*
Also, put your rig, in your sig!

Well it depends on what you have in your rig, you could possibly use the extra money to get something else for your computer.

To what store is this in-store credit for and for how much is it?

Got everything else I need at the mo I think.

X2 5770's in Crossfire
FX-8350 Overclocked to 4.6 GHZ with a freezer 13" cooler
16GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1600Mhz 8-8-8-24
Crosshair IV Formula
OCZ Fatal1ty 750w PSU
Samsung EVO 840 SSD
Seagate 1TB SSHD
+ 2 more HHD's
And a coolermaster HAF+ case

Think that's it... so, like I say, need nothing else. Just a new mobo.... £170 with Ebuyer in the UK, or might be able to get it refunded if nothing I want in stock!

I would get this mobo
http://www.ebuyer.com/270602-gigabyte-ga-990fxa-ud5-socket-am3-7-1-channel-hd-audio-atx-motherboard-ga-990fxa-ud5
and get rid of that crap 92mm cooler and either this
Corsair H80 http://www.ebuyer.com/602635-corsair-cwch80-hydro-series-h80-high-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler-refurbished-cwch80-rf
or this
Gelid Black Edition Ultimate cooler http://www.ebuyer.com/500933-gelid-gel-blackedition-cooling-fan-gel-blackedition

That way you will have a nice mobo and be able to OC that 8350 hopefully up to 4.7-5GHz thumb.gif

The Sabertooth is a fantastic board, but not on OP's website list.
