Do you have any proof? Because I find that unlikely.

It's probably the better video cards that allow 'Druids X2 rig to beat the Core 2 Duo rig. I am pretty sure that on benchies that matter (SuperPi, the CPU score in 3DMark06), the Core 2 Duo is the (clear) winner.

Can you give us some links to benchies 'Druid?

and jriggs: indeed... have some proof?

And what is an E6800? never heard of it (guess you mean X6800)

You don't know what rig is used for the SiSAndra tests.... so it's not that easy to directly compare.

And of course it's stock for the Intels.... if you compare you should compare stock/stock or overclocked/overclocked. If you lay your CPU next to an overclocked E6600 (let's say 3.4GHz, which is easy on air), then the tables will be turned massively.

But still if it OC's to a conroe stock then its just a cheap conroe without OC'ing. But i know were your coming from.

Oh I agree completely, Im just happy that my system competes somewhat....lol this kinda gives him an idea of what he can do, Also remember im on stock cooling which holds me back tremendously.

edit. Im also on AM2, which for some reason doesnt overclock as well as 939...i just have more memory bandwidth.

opty 165 = 2mb l2 cashe proven performance with good stepping up to 3ghz 2mb l2 cashe

x2 3800 = 1mb l2 cashe easy to find. inexpensive, can also hit 3ghz 1mb l2 cashe

I agree, if I would have done more research I would have bought a x2 3800+ because it can do just as much as my 4200+ but it costs a bunch less

Is this because a 4200 is a weaker OC'er?

And for me the 4200 is only £20 - £30 more, no skin off my nose.
