You can thank Stanley Weiser for writing that one. He wrote it for the movie "Wall Street" and in the movie, Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) said it.

there was something said in the film ' Heat ' Robert DeNiro

"Don't let yourself get attached to anything you are not willing to walk out on in thirty seconds flat, if you feel the heat around the corner."

one of my most favorite films

sorry to change subject

Thats how I am feeling at this point. I could very well afford a $600 card but, my budget i gave myself was to stay under $540ish because at the end of the day, its not worth it for me personally to invest that much money into a product that might very well be $350 (give or take) by next christmas. I don't condemn anyone who has already paid these very high prices though, because I understand that it is worth every penny for some people smile.gif

I was in your shoes not too long ago. I refused to pay the inflated prices, I was either going to wait or go for an Nvidia card. I decided to just go for an Nvidia card, since I recently got a 2560x1440 monitor and my single HD6950 was struggling with most newer games at that resolution. I'm really happy I went for it, it's a great card and the Nvidia software (Shadowplay for example) is really nice.

I have not had an Nvidia card for close to 10 years, but I always wonder if I should try them out again. In my opinion the 780 seems to be a great price to performance ration, as well as being fairly cool and quite for a monster card.
