I totally agree. That cake pan idea was a stroke of pure genius!

That mess hanging off to the left is the fan hub; I had to remove it to install the HBA card and hadn't put it back yet pending a test run of the HBA card (yeah, I'm lazy). The PSU is semi modular (only the 24 and 8 pin ATX cables are attached).

Here is a shot of the hot swap bays I rattled on about:

And the "messy side":

The big sleeve running vertically is to corral all the front panel cables. The extra lengths are stuffed on top of the ODD where it can't be seen.

The "Messy Side" of the case actually looks very neat! Well done!

I'm telling you,man you may have started something big..Imagine dialogues like the following in supermarkets all around:
*Dad picks up a cake pan*
Son:Oh,goody, daddy, you're going to bake a cake!
Dad:No son,I'll use it to mod my chassis to fit a 240 rad in push/pull configuration, so that I can cool down my 5GHz over clocked CPU..
Son:...But daddy, what does that even mean????
Dad:It means that the cake is a lie son..the cake is a lie..

Thank you!!! I just used the Duplicolor green paint, there's a picture of the can on here somewhere. But it is called "Grabber Green".

Hahaha, that's hilarious! You wouldn't believe how difficult it was to find the cake pan the size that I needed. I went to like 7 different stores, and ended up buying it from a shady seller on Amazon, shady cake pan dealers smh. LOL

Well the computer is back together and up and running. Installing drivers and programs now and will post up a bunch of pictures once I get photoshop and everything installed again.

I decided to switch my OS drive to the Samsung SSD since I have been thoroughly impressed with the speed of the matching drive I used in my HTPC.

Anyways, only thing I have left to do with the PC is to finish my case window and that's it! Everything else I want to do is going to just be work space mods and cable management!

Thanks for checking it out and I will have pics up hopefully soon!

Well, still no pictures. This kind of puts a damper on everything. I can't get SLI to work, and upon further research it seems that many people have had problems getting SLI to work with my board. I am not sure where to go trying to fix the issue. If I switch the cards positions the card that wasn't working before works, and the one that was working doesn't. There aren't any SLI options in the Nvidia control panel and using GPU-z only one card shows up. It doesn't even recognize the other card, even though the card is working and the fan is running. Very frustrating! I will continue to try and figure out what exactly the problem is, but this is frustrating to say the least!

If you have any trouble shooting suggestions please let me know!

Try uninstalling the driver using the guide on here. Search How to uninstalling nvidia drivers in the search. In mobile or I'd provide a link. Then, shut down and remove the sli bridge. Boot into windows and install the latest driver or whatever driver you prefer. And then shut down. Reboot without enabling sli and make sure everything is set up correctly besides sli. Shut down and install the bridge. Cross your fingers and pray to the great nvidia gods and hope it works.

Thank you for the link and for the help with trying to get this setup. Unfortunately this did not work. I am not sure what else to try. It seems like the MOBO just isn't even recognizing the second card. I took a screen cap of the GPU-z if that will help at all, but any other suggestions on things I can try?

I will continue to look and see if someone came up with a fix or found out what the problem is with this motherboard.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Matt

EDIT:

Not sure that I mentioned it, but just so you know where I am at I have already made sure that the BIOS are up to date and have made sure that everything else is up to date as well. One of the suggestions for getting this to work was to just install the drivers only without installing any of the Nvidia experience stuff and I tried that, and nothing worked there either. I have tried flipping the cards around and I have gotten nothing.

I do not have another SLI bridge so I was going to try and pick one up tomorrow and test that out. Am I mistaken in thinking that even without an SLI bridge I should be seeing both cards in the device manager or somewhere, correct?

The funny part about this is that before getting the second GTX 460 I ran a GT 610 in the second slot the second GTX460 is in now and that worked fine. eeeeeeeee

This is getting really frustrating if you couldn't tell! haha

There's definitely something up. It should be at least detecting that the card is a PCI-e 2.0 compliant card. It is definitely not detecting the second card though considering that it is showing it running at x16 instead of x8. Mull through your bios and see if you see anything that might not be right, or at least do a CMOS reset and see if there is still a problem. If not, hopefully it is under warranty and you can get another board. =/ Although I've heard ASUS can be horrible with RMAs... Make sure to take a bunch of pictures of the socket and board itself just so they can't say that you bent a pin or something.
