Is this 270 actually a 270X?

I had a warrior die on me three weeks ago (RIP Sapphire 5870) leaving me with only a 5850. Nice card, but it was struggling with The Witcher 2 at 5760, so I decided to upgrade. I bought this Gigabyte 270 http://products.ncix.com/detail/gigabyte-r9-270-oc-975mhz-2gb-5-6ghz-gddr5-2xdvi-hdmi-displayport-pci-e-video-card-93-92027.htm

It performs flawlessly, a nice performance bump. I OC'd it with RadeonPro, just dragged the sliders to max (1050/1500) and it cut through the witcher for an hour. (I had to get back to school work)

Anyway, I was looking at the 270 on AMD's website, and they state that the 270 comes with only 1x6pin power. However, on mine, I have 2. Is my 270 a 270X just rebranded? Is that a thing? I'm asking because it OC's like a champ (until the sliders end) and it has those two extra power connectors.

The only difference between the 270 and 270x is the core clock speed. They are literally identical cards except for the core speed.

I posted a link in the OP to my exact card. (I bought it from NCIX)

CCC and RadeonPro have sliders that end at 1050 and 1500. Can't do much about that

all it is literally, is gigabyte beefed up the VRM and input of an R9 270 to make it perform. with that massive cooler on there you will have no issues, have at it.

For the same reason that EVGA releases their Superclocked models with a 50 mhz faster core clock and a higher price.

Don't feel so lucky.

Even if the card has 2 6-pin slots, it only has 1024 stream processors (HD 7850) while most other R9 270's have 1280 (HD 7870). And its cooler looks exactly like the one on the Gigabyte HD 7850.

Could you take a gpu-z screenshot?

EDIT: see, it's basically the same card, but $20 cheaper overall.

Since we are on the subject, I have another question that is sort of related. My motherboard only supports 16x + 4x crossfireX. With a graphics adapter like this, if I were to CF it down the road, what am I looking at with regard to a performance increase? I have a massive resolution, so a CPU bottleneck shouldn't be an issue. I know it's not the ideal 16x+16x, but I had success with a 5870+5850 at 1920x1080. It added a good ~50-75% performance depending on the game
