STH10 - Radiators and Fans

Hi,

I'm looking to install 2 radiators (either 120.4 or 140.4) at the top of the STH10. The number of different models confuses me completely smile.gif
Also, I'm not sure which ones will fit.
In addition, push vs push/pull... how big of a difference does that make?

I guess what I would like to hear, is which radiator brand is recommended (and will fit the case) and also which fans play nice with that rad.

560s (140.4) will not fit in the upper chamber unless you are willing/able to make modifications.

Push/Pull will give better results. As far as how big of a difference it will make, thats really tough to answer accurately. There are just too many variables. You also need to take into consideration that multiple 480s is a lot of radiator, P/P or not. What I am saying is that there is only so much cooling you can do. For example; Lets say you were cooling 1 CPU and 2 GPUs and only had 1 360 in your loop, adding a second 360 would be noticeable. However, with the same system (1 CPU 2 GPU) and 2 480s, adding 3rd 480 would most likely not improve cooling potential.

Any brand of radiator will work, at least all that I know of, which is a lot biggrin.gif

So it's either 2x480 top or 2x560 bottom?

what about thickness? will 2x60mm thick rads with p/p fans fit (both top and bottom)?

480s will fit in either chamber, but 560s will only fit in the bottom. Here is the spec sheet from the product description;

Maximum radiator size - top chamber 120.4 (480) x 2

Maximum radiator size with PSU - top chamber 120.3 (360) x2

Maximum radiator size - above top chamber (under 120mm extended top cover) 140.4 (560) x 1

Maximum radiator size - lower chamber 140.4 (560) x 2

Maximum radiator size with PSU - lower chamber 120.3 (360) x 2

As far as thickness is concerned, the chambers in the STH10 and SMH10 are pretty much maxed out with 60mm thick rads in P/P. I'd also say its probably the most common configuration.
