i'm thinking about getting one

The Alcor's 3090 is quite a good implementation and it feels relatively responsive, as far as 3090s go. There is a bit of smoothing on the 3090, but it feels quite raw.
You can definitely perform with it.
The AM010 in the g402 feels better though. Less smoothing below 2080 cpi I believe (very little). In terms of sensors, definitely go with Logitech. The AM010 feels amazing and is closer to 3366 than to 3090.
Feels very responsive and raw.

Thx for rep. I also own both. I prefer the Alcor's shape, mainly because it's lighter. It's so nice for my grip. My only gripe is the coating, since I have sweaty hands.

If you have around 18cm hands and you sweat, get a Kone Pure Military, trust me! Sensor is amazing and it fits perfectly for palm/claw for that hand size.

Doesn't the KPM have the 3310 DPI bug because it's running an old firmware? Or did that get fixed?

No idea what you mean. I remember hearing about this but didn't notice any issues. Running 1.05 software and 1.10 firmware.

Regarding the DPI bug, how much does it change by? I didn't notice anything yesterday with software installed and DCU off (default) when lifting and resitting the mouse. Damn you guys have really stirred up my OCD again -- *goes back to G303* biggrin.gif

Yes it does. However, it doesn't happen if you have the DCU/lift-off calibration set to something else than off.

The CPI rises ~10-15%.
