Saw this desk at my friend's house... Really liked the space/smoothness/versatility but it is TOO EXPENSIVE... Need help choosing desk!

So I went to my friends house and saw he had some curved L-desk and I googled and found this at the top:

Edit: This is the cheapest I found it online. He said he got it in Staples roughly 3 years ago.

http://www.livingspaces.com/ProductView.aspx?productId=60775&searchTerm=Desk

But the price is TOO HIGH.

So I was wondering can you help me find something very similar to that?

I don't have any tools to build my own desk.

Ikea

or

Cinderblocks and doors

Personally, I like the second one because cable management holes.

I have an Ikea Galant, its a similar corner desk like you showed, and spacious. I got mine for about $140 Loved it alot and its expandable with other parts and accessories if you need more room, cable managment, etc.

+1 to the Galant. There's a lot more space than you'd think. With just the desk by itself (no attachments), I can fit 3 24" monitors along with my two small (relatively) bookshelf speakers.

Cable management is great too. I bought the add-on wire basket thing and it works perfectly. I can post some pictures if you want biggrin.gif

I'm not looking for a Galant, I had one a few years ago and the adjustment mechanism broke, and I had the better legs, so that is out of the question. But I am mostly looking for a desk matching my first post. Ikea has something like that but IDK what it is exactly called.

I am open to suggestions similar to the first post.

Something like this, maybe curved too, but without the metal bars connecting each piece:

You can get a Galant version with T-Legs which are more sturdy than the default A-Legs...

Also a friend complained to me that his Galant had one loose leg about 2 months ago...I told him to keep twisting right direction it to lock its position. It has a threaded mechanism inside the leg telescoping tube that secures the length position...Also Ikea should replace them free of charge if any parts go bad as long you have proof of purchase.

I had the T-legs and they were the same problem. I seen some legs at ikea that are permanently 29/30" height but IDK the name of them.

I have an L shaped desk that is made up of two regular desks. While spacious, the joint is under the keyboard and that isn't ideal.
I'm assuming making a desk is out of the question?

Can you link a pic?

Joint under keyboard?

I can't make a desk. I don't have the space to make one, nor the tools, time or expertise. I never really am good with woodworking,.. etc.
