V-MODA Crossfade M-100

Looking into replacing my Senn PC350 and was looking into the M-100.
Reviews look great, but i'm hoping maybe one of you guys tried it out and can shed some more light on it out of personal experience.
A little bit of background, looking for something that is for 60% Music/Movies | 40% Gaming.
***Also something that I can comfortably have on for extended periods of time, 8 hrs+
Running an Essence STX.

You wont find much love for V-Moda here or head-fi.

In my experience they are well built, but have the same issues that Beats have.
Overpriced, and they warp sound.

I can see why they would make great DJ headphones, but they are nowhere near the quality of a set of Audio Technica M50s or another set of closed ear cans.

What kind of music are you listening to?
Because the ONLY genre I can see them being worth using would be dubstep or something where Bass makes up the majority of the experience.

I ordered a set of V-Moda M100s and they arrive Monday, my brother will order his depending on what mine sound like. I own the M50s, XB700's and a set of Custom One Pro's. I will let you know Monday what i think! I also ordered the XL pads for them so that should help.

I don't agree that they rank behind the M50s.

Best bet is to find them open box on newegg for 150$. Really good deal.

It all depends on what you like in your headphones too. Closed/Open design, bass heavy, neutral, sound isolation, no sound isolation, materials used, price point, even look and warranty can be taken into account. What are your preferences, we might be able to recommend something better suited.

Considering I enjoyed my PC350 quite a bit, I would have to say closed, good bass, sound isolation, very comfortable for long use periods, light, price point at around $300, overall quality product, something that will last.

Perfect, same qualities as me, I really like the custom one pro's, but let me see what the M-100s and I will let you know, so far all reviews point to the sweet spot for us. I also use a small Fiio E5 amp on the bass boost setting for all the headphones. I am also looking into getting a high quality DAC and headphone amp from Schiit to bring out the sound a bit more. You may want to check those out in the future.

M-100s are amazing with the XL pads. serious bass. I put them up against my XB700s and its close when it comes to the bass biggrin.gif. Highs very clear, mids recessed slightly, extremely comfortable, very light and portable. I can't seem to get the headphones to bottom out lol. I cranked the volume up in the windows, media player, the amp and still they just keep playing music flawlessly, the other headphones just bottom out and distort. Highly recommended and now my brother just purchased his thumb.gif

Highly recommend the XL pads with it, you can watch tutorials on youtube on how to change the pads, very simple.
