im wondering if there is a way to play a game on another pc while a dif pc is running the game.

i have a pc class at school and i get work done really fast and my teacher said i could play a game as long as i run it of a flashdrive so im wondering is there a program to stream so i could play for example gmod at school and run it on my home pc without it lagging. the pc and internet at school is really nice. so how would i go about this?

Well Steam is supposedly going to be beta testing this pretty soon. No clue how well it will work though...and I think it is assuming 1GB networking to work with. Once the Internet comes into play you have a pretty big bottle neck.

However, I think there is an online service that does this...only at a low 4:3 resolution or something though. I think there are a few of them. All cloud based outfits. I've never used them though

However, all the remote access tools I've used are way too laggy to play a game with...not to mention no 3D rendering ability. Those would never work. You will need a service that can do it for you.

Valve is working on that as we speak, but it's still in beta/not quite ready yet.

Also, careful about using up bandwidth if you do get it working. My old dorm had 500mbps down/up, and with a video streaming server set up, I burned through my weekly bandwidth pretty fast thumb.gif

You could try remote desktoping to your home pc and launching your games that way.
