Taiwanese company ADATA Technology is gearing up for the arrival of DDR4 and at CES it showcased a couple of memory modules based on the standard. ADATA's DDR4 sticks have 8 GB and 16 GB capacities and run at 2133 MHz with CL15 latencies while powered at 1.2V.

The modules on display are 'suitable for servers' (they are R-DIMMs) but the company will surely have some consumer-oriented offerings for later this year when Intel launches the DDR4-supporting Haswell-E processors.

Well that's kind of expected... initial DDR4 modules will be slower than DDR3, but it will ramp up in speed as it matures.

These are registered DIMMs for servers.

Checking Newegg, the fastest DDR3 R-DIMMs they have are 1866MHz CL13 at 1.5v.

2133MHz CL15 at 1.2v is not really slower but does consume less power.
Once again...

As for consumer DDR4, Crucial Ballistics is launching with DDR4-3000 (not sure of timings).

im more interested in what Samsung will bring to the DDR4 realm thumb.gif

...also since these are server ram, CLA15 would include the ECC latency right?
