Sidewinder is founded and own by an enthusiast, i happen to exchange conversation with the owner. his main goal is not to make large lum sum of profit from you. he is a hobbyst 1st. but feel free to keep paying more. cause that's what you're good at.

You should stand out in the middle of the road and tell people who own mercedes and bmw that they are throwing away their money and they can buy a honda civic and get to the same place.

How I spend my money isn't your concern. If you want to keep crying like a baby, feel free to do so.

My argument is based on logic. Yours is based on your opinion of how I spend my money.
My logic is I am not going to spend $319 on 20fans from Sidewinders when they cheaped out on shipping by sticking a metal bracket in an envelop instead of properly shipping it in the SAME COST flat rate box with packaging materials.
Yes I would rather spend $340 at PPC's and get a package how I expect, properly packed. Not going to save $20 to order from Sidewinder to get a bunch of fans in a box with no packaging material.
(yes coupon codes at performance pc's make a big difference. shipping costs $12 for me where I live. So please keep using this magical $40 number ) biggrin.gif

I will continue to buy the softest toilet paper out there. Feel free to keep using cardboard thumb.gif

I also did not say that would not buy from sidewinder but if I selected a box as a shipping method and got a envelope then I would never do business with them again. I want to get what I pay for. does not matter what is going in it.

I also bought 50 AP15's when they had them on sale in Dec from sidewinder and was very disappoint in the shipping....

I also don't trust small sites that do things like this. I have bought items from all sites and have had good and bad experiences from them. What matters most to me is actual customer service when I ask a question I want a answer in 12 hours or less. never get this from small sites.

I want to say one more thing-- it does not matter if the envelop and the box cost same thing or not. this has nothing to do with it when a box was requested!!! if they say box for 6 dollars and it cost them 12 well then that is their mistake...

but that's just the thing, in the shopping cart section, no one gives you the option of "box" or "envelope" both box and envelop are part of the priority flat. and they happen to cost the same. i guess if you DID get an option for either a box or an envelop, then yeah i'll get mad about it if i paid for a box. but you don't get that option. i just went and added 20 fans in the cart and it just says Priority mail.

i've had different experience with smaller retailers, take the previous example i mentioned about Coolerguys, they're about as small as well, and they totally screwed me over and never shipped my item and never answered any responses. so i never did any business with them. Sidewinder happens to be a small specialty shop with good customer service in my experience. i contacted them once in regard to order info and immediate got a response within 2 hours, that was the day after Christmas. i have no problem shopping at small or large. what matters to me is i get the best prices, and the customer service is good.

That's exactly why HULK doesn't order from Sidewinder. So if Coolerguys came out to $20 cheaper after shipping than another site you could get the exact same items, would you order from Coolerguys?

I just got a 350$ shipment from performance pcs shipped to Kingston, Ontario, Canada using USPS and I got a 45$ duty fee
post #85 of 137

Sidewinder
Total: $350.38

PerformancePC
Total: $353.23

Yeah I'd rather spend the $40 extra

I will pay $350 to order from sidewinder ( who sends metal brackets in paper envelopes)
or
I will pay $353 from a real BUSINESS with a STOREFRONT which is going to spend at least $10 in packing materials, bubble wrap, packing peanuts, to ensure I receive a proper shipment.

So your whole argument about me spending $40 more is now useless? Did it flush down the drain? Are you going to tell me I'm financially senseless?

All of these personal attacks coming from someone who tells me I know nothing about them when I never claimed I did yet they bash me on everything I do because I keep pointing out facts or correcting misinformed/misconceptions of situations with actual information frown.gif

my orders from Sidewinder has always been properly packaged, i guess if your definition of proper is wrapped with gold then yeah, they're not quite there just yet.

now we're talking about cars.. my favorite topic. what do you wanna talk about. Mercedes and BMW are great cars, but talking purely in terms of performance, you can sure get the same performance with less price by going with ford or chevy. what do you wanna talk about.

You proved my point stating a USPS flat rate small box was same price as a flat rate mailing envelope.

You sit here and tell me I want my order wrapped in gold.
You find it acceptable to put metal in a envelope instead of a small box with packaging.
You are telling me ford and chevy offers the same performance for less.

You are one of the best comedians I have ran into online biggrin.gif

Please feel free to enjoy the cheaper things in life, just stay in your lane and understand 1ply toilet paper isn't 3 ply

those were your words from post #54, "You'd rather pay $50 more for 20 fans, and pay $10 less on shipping then go on an online forum and bash Performance-pc's"

but based on your comparison of all three retailers, you'll pay $45 total for shipping at Frozen, $55 for shipping at PPCS, and yet still only $33 at Sidewinder. that might not be a large sum for you. but to me that's a difference of another fan or two, consider i've ordered from all three before. they all have pretty much the same packaging quality, that is if you're not expecting gold wrapped.

I know for a fact you do not get the same level of performance/service/luxury/safety from a ford or Chevy you get from a Mercedes!!! If you have owned both like me then I will shut-up but I do not believe if you had then you would state this!!

if you go by what happens to be on paper then you might say this but drive each of them for 5 years and then you are in a position to give a answer to this!!!!
