Optional AMD Build (critique?) - Page 3

This would be my second pick over the 7600GT. Its faster than the 7600GS, and overclocks quite well. Plus, it uses a 256bit memory bus, which helps with higher resolutions, and FSAA.

How good is the OC on that?

The clocks are lower, but the memory bus is higher, what is better?

I don't think I can go that high with my budget for that card...

~375 (All parts from newegg, except RAM) + ~ 90 (ram from Tankguys) = ~460 (Original budget hehe )

The 7600GT replaced the 6800GS. The 7600GT is faster at stock speeds. (by about 4-5 FPS in F.E.A.R)

http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2717&p=11

I believe the 6800GS benefits more from overclocking (although the 7600GT would still be faster). My stock scores went from 5,000 flat in 3dmark05, to upwards of 6,100. The 6800GS's also seem to run a little bit cooler.
