I sense allot of people upset at themselves for not jumping on the BTC train, therefor you just hate the whole thing..
I was one of you, so I know the feeling.. Then I started mining DOGE, many coin, Much wow..
Honestly now I watch and hope btc succeeds simply because the value of my 100k doge is purely based on that .. The value of BTC.

Not subject to manipulation unless of course one entity gains too much network power which this whole thread is about.
Yeah, yeah, yeah...

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

So why did you omit my next sentence? It was addressed to this very post of yours.

I figured I wouldn't need to elaborate it any further since it is directly related to the topic. But yes, the more it is assimilated, the greater hashing power, hence easier even distribution of the mining power in order to avoid risks and the related instabilities/insecurities.

Uniform network distribution is a pipe dream at the moment. Most miners mine for rewards and probably don't care about the network stability.

If they allow a currency to crash and burn (read: establish 51%, lose trust - enough to destabilize) how will they realize the profit from their contribution?

They have to care if they want their money. tongue.gif

I ended up picking up a GTX 780 because of this ridiculous price gouging, let it crash is what I have to say to this.
