[edit] Where'd you get the 2nd fan? Just go by the fan ratings and shop online I assume? More importantly, does it come with the stuff to mount 2?
it comes with clip for mounting 3 fans.that fan costs 19usd at amazon and is 140x38mm

Here is the heligon he01 for 65usd AR

I love over kill, but when I had the 212+ I could get great temps. For me the best increase was adding a fan shroud.

By far it's the best cooler I think that exists price wise. I got it years ago on black friday for like $16? I'm talking like years ago, was worth every penny. Heck today, I'd even say paying full price back then would have been worth it. It's by far the best cooler I've ever used.

Ugh tempting tempting but I've been looking around all day, reading up temp stuff cause I gave up on 4.6 and the 212+ due to thermal wall. I'm like right on the edge of the 212's TDP almost literally, which makes me kinda angry in a way. I so want 4.6 on the 212+ but that's not gonna happen, 2hrs and prime fails now and I'm sure a couple notches more and I'd have it. But by then, the 212+ would be outta it's league and temps would just rise on a constant basis. Ugh...

Anyways, I've been reading/looking around heavily and have been seriously contemplating a specific water AIO due to price with a rebate now. Cause for the price, I can't find anything that will beat it. If all else, I should grab it while the rebate is goin and see how it holds. If not, I should easily be able to sell it for pretty close to what I got.

For $40, it's looking VERY tempting. And yes, I'll wait for that rebate and deal with hassle if I have to. I think for $40, that's a great deal. (if it's not worth it, even money wise, I'm still listening hehe but saw it and it has a real nice price)

Oh sweet, I'm sold now. I can't think of anything that will do the job for the same price. I wonder why the price? It has a good egg rating, makes me wonder if they have a new item in line and want to get the old stock out asap. Almost willing to wait but.... Idk, $40 is a real nice price for any decent cooler.

lol! Well I think my cooling solutions have been favored by timing. I didn't realize earlier today that it was $40 with rebate, otherwise I'd probably be shelling out 65+ easy for something. I'll check out that link though, heat pipes are an interesting concept but I've been busy battling this OC and lost. =( Oh well.

The post you linked too is a bit long for this early in the morning. Plus, I dunno if I'm up for the technicals on how heat pipes work. =P I'd just rather know what can dissipate around 250-300w wink.gif and call it good. Also, a lot of those aren't sold on newegg anymore =( =( as I was looking, there out of stock.

Basically for air, I'm looking to spend 65-80 or so. I'm also not looking for something too bulky, the GELID Solutions CC-BEdition-01-A is about the right range. I was looking at the Noctua NH-D14 but it's a bit larger than I want. Don't want some bulky huge setup, I already think the Hyper 212+ is massive but for better cooling I'll allow something a bit more just want to minimize it.

For water, I'll spend around 100 but only if it performs pretty well for the price. I can only do 120mm fans though, only 1x140mm on the case and it would definitely block my ram sticks. so I was thinking of the H80i or Tundra Series TD03. But I'm sure air should out-preform them for a better price.

I do dual rads after finding this:

That's my case, it isn't getting chopped up. It's a crap ton more work than rivets, if you look at the pictures the HDD bay is part of the front case. Won't even cut the side panel for dual rads. - [edit] While possible and I have access to the tools, I also have 3 HDDs and kind of like them where they are. I plan on getting another and might get a smaller strictly for OpSys for 5 total.
