Computer as a hub?

Thread Starter
i need to attach a Netgear Wgr614 v.6 router to a spare Ethernet port i have.

can wireless computers connect to the internet through this way?

or i need to find a way to "hack" the firewall off of the router. their is no option to turn the firewall off

any help and/or insight would be very appreciated.

If you plug the cable into the computer you can setup your extra port to share the net that way it will broadcast the proper signal from the port to the router.

Internet Connection Sharing, ICS, is what he's referring to.

But why don't you just plug your modem into the router and then use the router as it was meant to be used?
